Professional Japanese Teacher for JLPT & Grammar:

TOMOKO Sensei

Hello!

My name is Tomoko.
For the past 10 years—yes, even today!—I’ve been working as a Japanese language teacher at a Japanese language center in Vietnam.
Three years ago, I returned to Japan and have been teaching online at the same center ever since.
My students in their 20s often say they feel like talking with a mom in the classes.

I love:

  • Growing vegetables in my garden (currently mini tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and komatsuna)

  • Driving (I can drive large tour buses, trucks, taxis, regular cars, and motorcycles)

  • Reading (manga, science fiction, children’s books, mystery novels, ghost stories, etc.)

  • Baking sweets

  • Calligraphy

What's My Students Say

Lia

"My objective was to consolidate grammar and vocabulary to become more fluent in speaking. I appreciated that Tomoko-sensei respected my choice of textbook; she is also patient and dedicated, which was reassuring. "

Ava

"Supportive, always on time, and communicates with you between classes quickly. Although she's unable to explain in depth concepts in English, I think this challenges you to stay thinking in Japanese during the lesson."
