What our students say

Wilson

"Like most people, I work full time, so I really appreciate how the videos are on demand. While the courses are on demand, it still feels like you have a teacher because Saya is with you every lesson in video format. She provides many examples at the end of each lesson. The lessons are well crafted, and I appreciate how the lesson slides are available for download, so I can review throughout the day as well. I would recommend this course to anyone who is just getting past learning their hiragana/katakana. The topics of the courses are well thought out and useful."

Poppy

"I'm in the midst of the course and it supplements other Japanese material that I am using to learn right now. I love that I can rewind, fast-forward and play the videos according to my learning pace. The PDF slides are handy and helpful in connecting speech to text. Highly recommended :)"

About your teacher

Hi, I’m Saya, and I’ve been teaching Japanese for nearly 10 years. I currently live in Spain. After sitting through my fair share of language classes with nothing to show for them but disjointed vocabulary and shaky grammar, I realised that language learners need lessons they can actually use to speak and connect in everyday situations.

Why I created this course

I created this course for all of the people out there who want to actually use Japanese in the real world, not just pass a test. You’ll learn how to build real conversations from day one, with grammar broken down into simple, practical steps. Vocabulary is introduced through everyday situations so you can start speaking with confidence from the very first lesson.
